The Varsity Bearcats started their 3 back to back games this week with a win over Oceana High School. The Sharks came out strong in the first quarter leading 15-11. It was back and forth leading into halftime, but San Mateo came out hot in the second half, out scoring the sharks 33 to 8.

Point guard Jackson Chew added 9 points, while guards Brandon Suen and Aden Nolet both contributed 7 points apiece. Bearcats went into the holiday break with another win against Thurgood Marshall. Gabriel Jaen with the hot hands scored nine 3 pointers to total 33 for the game. Aden Nolet contributed 19 points and Jackson Chew added 8 points. The squad will square off against South San Francisco High School next Saturday at 3 pm.
The Comets put up a valiant effort and fought hard until the last buzzer. With a short bench, they could not hold off the Bearcats from dominating the game. Brandon Suen led the team with 7 points in a game where every player contributed point-wise.

The Bearcats lost their first game of the season to Pacific Bay High School by the score of 35-40. With the calls not going their way throughout the game, the proud squad worked through their frustrations and almost tied the game up. David Canabou put up 13 points and Aden Nolet added another 11. This
