The last photo says it all…San Mateo fans poured onto the court after the final buzzer went off to help the players celebrate their big victory. In the most exciting game of the season thus far, San Mateo led Burlingame the entire contest except for a brief moment in the 3rd quarter when Burlingame managed a 4 point lead. The Bearcats came out sizzling hot, shooting amazingly. Guard Aden Nolet started them off with two quick threes in the first minute and a half of the game. Center David Canabou grabbed some great boards and had some astounding put backs. He finished the game with a double-double, 15 points and 10 rebounds. Point Guard Jackson Chew was the consummate leader and facilitator, contributing 7 points, while Dane Andersen made 2 threes and some clutch free throws rounding out 8 points for the game. Sophomore Gabe Jaen added 7 while Kyle Taruc contributed 6 points and set the tone with his toughness for the win. And lastly, Aden Nolet, number 22 went for 22, the game high.
