Coed Junior Varsity Track, Coed Varsity Track · Frosh-Soph Men Deliver at Bearcat Invitational

The 9th annual Bearcat Invitational was held under beautiful, sunny conditions at SMHS yesterday with over 40 schools and close to 1,000 athletes competing. The Bearcats shined in events throughout the day, led by the Frosh-Soph men’s team that landed twelve top 10 finishes. Winning performances were turned in by Eeshan Bhat in the 800m with a PR and the men’s 4×400 relay team. Trevor Wong also garnered a 1st place medal in the Pole Vault, which ended in a 3 way tie with all 3 vaulters setting PRs at 10 feet. Freshman standout Lucas Castillo continued to shine in the sprints. After taking two 2nd place finishes in the 100m and 200m at the Aragon Invitational last weekend, he grabbed another silver in the 200 yesterday along with a 6thin the 100m.

  • Lillian Torres 9th in shot put
  • Madalyn Delaney 8th in 300m hurdles

Varsity Men

  • Jake Jeffries 2nd in 110 hurdles and 5th in 300 hurdles
  • Gino Semenza 6th in shot put (PR of 40’-11”)
  • Ariel Blemur 7th in pole vault

Frosh-Soph Women

  • Akanesi Hafoka 3rd in discus and 7th in shot put
  • Audrey Morganstern 5th n 300 hurdles and 9th in pole vault
  • Nina Ofitserova 6th in 100m and 9th in 200m
  • 4×100 relay team took 3rd
  • 4×400 relay team took 5th

Frosh-Soph Men
