The San Mateo Girls Varsity Volleyball team beat Mercy SF on Friday in an exciting 4-set match. San Mateo was led by Senior Alexa Carreon, who had an impressive 18 kills and 5 blocks. The Outside Hitters also contributed to the Bearcat’s success, with Junior Emily Savage earning 13 kills and 16 digs, and Senior Lexus Kato-Lagumbay earning 5 kills and 21 digs. Senior Setter, Elizabeth Tang, recorded 15 assists in her first start of the season, and Sophomore Setter, Lauren Mah recorded 25 assists. This match marks the first Varsity victory over Mercy SF in the last 4 years. Congratulations Bearcats!
